Alvin Dieterich Dies; Lifelong Area Resident

Funeral services were held June 13, [1957] at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage and St. John's Lutheran church for Alvin Dieterich, who died June 10 [1957] at the age of 57. Burial was at the Calvary Cemetery.

Alvin H. Dieterich was born in Floyd county, Iowa, on September 25, 1899, the son of Fred and Anna [nee Hartwig] Dieterich. He was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church [Cedar township] and was later confirmed there.

Mr. Dieterich married Elsie Hollatz on June 3, 1925. The couple had two children, Bernice and Dorothy.

Mr. Dieterich was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran church.

Surviving him are his wife and daughters; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Troge, Mrs. Ralph Brandau, Mrs. John Morische and Adele Dieterich, all of the St. John's area, two brothers, Herman Dieterich of the St. John's community and George Dieterich of St. Ansgar, and two grandchildren.

OSAGE — Funeral rites are pending for Alvin Dieterichs, 57, farmer southwest of Osage, who died Monday at the Mitchell County Hospital from a blood disease; body at the Champion funeral home; leaves his wife, the former Elsie Hollatz of St. Ansgar, and two daughters, Mrs. Eugene Troge and Mrs. Loren Muller, both of Osage.
