Lois Marie Ingersoll Zimmerman was born April 8, 1939, in Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Archie and Mildred (Turner) Ingersoll. She graduated from the Floyd High School in 1956.

On November 2, 1957, she was united in marriage with Jim Zimmerman. They later divorced.

In 1985 she moved to Arizona. Lois worked as a Psych-tech at the Arizona state hospital where she remained for 15 years, retiring in 2000. Throughout her life she had many different endeavors, but one of her main accomplishments was going to cosmetology school. Lois enjoyed crocheting, socializing with her many friends and spending quality time with her family.

Family, friends and co-workers will always remember her loving and giving spirit. Lois’s family counts themselves fortunate to know that they meant everything to her.

Living family members include four children, Kathi (Mick) Guenther of Phoenix, Arizona, Bryan (Lynda) Zimmerman of San Antonio, Texas, Linda M. Zimmerman of Mesa, Ariszona, and Laurie (Doug) LaBounty of Spirit Lake, Iowa; five grandchildren, Morgan and Landon Guenther, Taylor and Regan LaBounty, and Nathan Zimmerman; her father, Archie Ingersoll of Charles City; a sister, Sandra (Mike) Dugan of Charles City; and a brother, Russell (Teddi) Ingersoll of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her mother, and grandmother, Belle Turner.
