Birth: Feb. 24, 1913
Death: Oct. 29, 1998

Funeral services for Mary A. Boerjan were held at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church on Oct. 31, 1998. Interment was in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Bearers included Monty Stanton, Jim Stanton, Chuck Stanton, H. Allen Boerjan, Dennis Boerjan and Ron Lievrouw. Honory Bearers were George Lievrouw, Terry Lievrouw, Roger Boerjan, George Taets, Lee Boerjan, Paul Boerjan and Darrell Knecht

Mary A. Maertens was born in Council Bluffs Iowa on February 24, 1913 to Emma (DeGrande) and Medard Maertens. Mary had two sisters, Martha and Ann, and five brothers, Morris "Bud",Leo, Jake, Raymond and Sylvan "Uncle Fat" Maertens. She married George H. Boerjan formerly of Plymouth Iowa.

Burial: St. Ansgar City Cemetery, St. Ansgar, Mitchell County, Iowa

Mary A. Boerjan

ST. ANSGAR — Mary A. Boerjan, 85, of St. Ansgar, died Thursday (Oct. 29, 1998) at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center, in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Ansgar Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the St. Ansgar Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home, 207 S. School St., St. Ansgar.

Mary A. Boerjan was born Feb. 24, 1913, in Council Bluffs.

Survivors include her husband, George Boerjan, of St. Ansgar; two daughters, Marilyn Stanton, of New Hampton; and Donna Chance, of Colona, Illinois; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Lievrouw, of St. Ansgar.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister, and one grandchild.
