Becki Small, age 43, of Osage, Iowa, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn.

Becki was born May 18, 1964, at Osage, Iowa, the daughter of Paul and Minerva (Voshell) Wagner. Becki graduated from Osage High School in 1982, and graduated from Brooks Institute of Fashion and Art in Long Beach, Calif. in 1984.

On August 22, 1986, she married Bruce Small in Osage. Becki worked in fashion merchandising in Des Moines. She then worked at Stevenson’s in Mason City, Charles City, and Osage. She also worked at Wee Three and Bib-n-Tucker, both in Osage. Becki was currently employed as a teacher’s aide at Osage Community Schools.

She served as a mentor for the Bridges Mentoring Program. Becki enjoyed all children, and especially enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, and family.

Becki is survived by her husband, Bruce Small, Osage, Iowa; two daughters: Mallory Small, a student at the University of Iowa, Sydney Small, Osage, Iowa; one son: Sawyer Small, Osage, Iowa; her parents: Paul and Minerva Wagner, Osage, Iowa; three sisters: Therese Wagner, River Falls, Wis., Laura (Ron) Clark, Eden Prairie, Minn., and LeAnne Wagner, Rock Island, Ill.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Wagner in 1991; maternal grandparents, Claude and Mary Voshell; and paternal grandparents, Earl and Aterna Wagner.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 14, 2008, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with the Rev. John Moser officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with a rosary at 3:30 p.m. and a scripture wake service at 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Becki Small Memorial Fund for an educational fund for her children.
