Funeral services for William "Billy" Wilcox will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the LeRoy Lutheran Church with the Rev. Tom Kolden officiating. Burial will be in the Spring. Friends may call at the Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday and one hour prior at the church on Wednesday. William, age 44, of LeRoy died of natural causes Saturday evening at home.
He was born June 6, 1963 in Spring Valley, Minn. He attended Riceville schools and graduated from the University of Austin, Texas. He also attended Austin Vo-Tech for Industrial Welding Technology. He was currently working at GMT Corporation in Nashua, Iowa.
On September 14, 1985 William was united in marriage to Lisa Winkels at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa and to this union four sons were born.
Billy enjoyed fishing, camping, motorcycles and spending time with his family.
Wilcox was preceded in death by a sister Laurene Wilcox, stepsister Deb Gansen, stepmother Lillian Wilcox and maternal and paternal grandparents
He is survived by his wife Lisa of LeRoy, sons: Cole of Camp Pendelton, Calif. and Jake, Sam and Bobby all at home. His parents Robert Wilcox of Riceville, Iowa, Mother Loma Roske and stepdad Floyd of Osage, Iowa; one sister Julie (Gary) Lucas of Mason City, Iowa and stepsisters Sharon (Larry) Lovelace, Nancy (Russ) Wolthoff, Connie Fox, Wendy (Les) Gibbs, Susan (Tom) Miller and Jill (Steve) Johnson. Stepbrothers Russ (Rowie) Roske and Kevin (Julie) Roske. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
