Jermiah Dosser, age 24, was killed on Thursday morning, near Altoona, Iowa, when the motorcycle he was riding was struck by a pickup truck.

Dosser, the son of Rick and Jody Dosser of rural Osage, was a 2001 graduate of the Osage Community High School. While in High School Dosser participated in football, wrestling, track and was member of the OHS National Honor Society.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office the accident occurred at the intersection of Hubbell and Broadway (NE 46th Ave.) at approximately 5:20 a.m., on Thursday, March 22, 2007.

The accident involved a motorcycle which was struck by a pickup truck towing a trailer. Preliminary investigation of this accident indicated the motorcycle was stopped at the lights facing southwest on Hubbell Ave. at Broadway. The truck pulling a trailer was also heading southwest on Hubbell Ave. but did not stop at the intersection striking the motorcycle with the front passenger side of the truck.

At this time charges are pending the completion of the investigation by a Sheriff's Office Technical Accident Investigator.
