Council Bluffs, Iowa -- Rex Jeffries, 54, of Council Bluffs , Iowa died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. at the Osage Cemetery with Pastor Dennis Hanson officiating.
Rex was born October 17, 1952 to DeVere and Katherine Jeffries. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Osage, Iowa. Rex attended schools in Osage and graduated from Osage High School. After graduation he attended NIACC in Mason City and then graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa.
He married Dianne Brennan in Osage. They made their home in Papillian, Nebraska.
Rex was active in the St. Timothy Lutheran Church, Council Bluffs, Iowa. He enjoyed clowning, camping and life.
Preceding him in death were his wife Dianne; parents, DeVere and Katherine, and his grandparents.
Rex is survived by his sister Cindy Johnson of Englewood, Colo., and his step-brother Mike Nehls of Osage. Condolences may be directed to: Cindy Johnson, 4749 Sherman, Englewood, Colorado 80110
