Funeral Services for Yvonne R. Goodman, age 76, of Monett, Missouri, and formerly of Osage, Iowa, were held on Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Monett, Missouri, with Rev. Richard Cody officiating.

Yvonne died Sunday, July 23, 2006, at the Cox-Monett Hospital in Monett. Arrangements were under the direction of Buchanan Funeral Home in Monett; phone: (417) 235 3188.

Graveside services were held on Thursday, July 27, 2006, at the Osage Cemetery in Osage, Iowa, with Rev. Dennis Hanson officiating.

Yvonne was born on November 27, 1929, in Osage, Iowa, the daughter of Allert and Rikka (Haugen) Olson. She attended schools in Osage and graduated from Osage High School. She was united in marriage to James Goodman on March 25, 1956 in Washington, D.C. Yvonne was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Monett, Missouri. She was the personal secretary to U.S. Senator H. R. Gross of Iowa from 1948 until he retired from office. She was also a retired secretary to U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Joyce Williams of Florida.

She is survived by her husband, James Goodman of Monett, Missouri; by a brother, Gilman Olson of Osage; by a sister, Aida Knudson and her husband Edward of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and by several nieces and nephews.
