Funeral services for Minnie A. Anderson, age 85, of Mona, Iowa, who died August 31, 1983, at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, were held September 2nd at the Mona Lutheran church, with the Rev. Gaylord Grant officiating.

Minnie Amelia Anderson was born November 13, 1897 near LeSueur, Minnesota, the daughter of Herman and Wilhelmina (Nussmeier) Seiler. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church and attended the rural school near her home.

Mrs. Anderson kept house for her brothers for several years and later went to Minneapolis where she attended Globe Business School and later worked in a shirt factory.

She married Victor Anderson June 28, 1925. They lived in Minneapolis until 1935 when they moved to the Mona area, and where she had since resided. She was a seamstress and did housework for many years.

Mrs. Anderson joined the Mona Lutheran church and was a faithful member over the years. She was a member of the ALCW and also served as a Sunday school teacher for several years. She was a member of the quilting group at the church until failing eyesight would no longer let her participate.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, parents and four brothers.

She is survived by her son, Russell of St. Ansgar; three grandchildren: Alan, Susan and Jeanne, all of St. Ansgar; two sisters: Sophia Biddle of LeSueur, Minnesota, and Louise Denzer of St. Cloud, Minnesota; three sisters-in-law, nieces nephews and friends.

Burial was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery with Rev. Grant in charge of committal services.
