OBITUARY:Funeral services for Herbert F. Hoverman, 87, of rural St. Ansgar, who died October 7, as the result of a highway accident north of Osage, were held October 11, at the Schroeder & Sites Funeral Home in St. Ansgar, with the Rev. Charles Bunk officiating.
Herbert Frederick William George Hoverman was born October 27, 1895 near St. Ansgar, Iowa the son of Henirich & Elsie (Barrentscher) Hoverman.
He was baptized November 17, 1895, and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Toeterville on Palm Sunday 1909. He attended Spring Valley school in rural St. Ansgar.
He lived on the farm, one and a half miles south of Toeterville all of his later childhood and adult life.
He and his brother, George, and their sister Anna, continued to operate the farm as their parents aged, later purchasing it from their landlord.
Mr. Hoverman was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Otto, and George; and one nephew.
He is survived by three sisters, Anna at the Faith Home in Osage, Emma Matheson of Flint, Michigan; and Adellia Bisonette of Flint, Michigan; also by four nephews and nieces.
Burial was in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery with Rev. Bunk in charge of committal services.

George Hoverman was born October 28, 1890,
and died on February 14, 1978.Herb Hoverman was born on October 27, 1895
and died on October 7, 1983.Annie Hoverman was born on February 16, 1899
and died on June 19, 1985.These three family members lived together & never married. George and Herb farmed, and Annie took care of the household chores and did the cooking. Annie in later years went to live in the nursing home.
