Funeral Held at
Waverly Church

Funeral Services for Mrs. Frieda L. Lillibridge, 74, who died August 3, 1983, in Waverly, Iowa, were held on August 5 at the Peace United Church of Christ in Waverly with the Rev. Richard S. Brueseke officiating.

Frieda L. Kirchgatter was born August 13, 1908 in Newburg township, Mitchell county, the daughter of Richard and Amanda (Bauer) Kirchgatter. She attended Newburg township school west of St. Ansgar and was confirmed in 1922 at the Innamuel Lutheran church in St. Ansgar.

June 29, 1940 she married Merl C. Lillibridge in the Methodist church parsonage in Austin, Minn. The couple moved to Crystal Lake, Illinois, February 1, 1941, and on March 1, 1943 moved to Plainville, Illinois, where she joined the Methodist church in 1944. The couple also lived in Marengo, Illinois; Elgin, Illinois; and Freeport, Illinois. In November of 1952 they moved to Bremer county and had lived in and around Waverly since then. Mrs. Lillibridge joined the Peace United Church of Christ in Waverly in 1981.

She is survived by her husband, Merl; two sons, Charles G. of Plainville and Walter H. of Bourbonnais, Illinois; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Russell (Bernice) Edgar of Rock Falls; three brothers, Ellery Kirchgatter, Earl Kirchgatter and Karl Kirchgatter, all of St. Ansgar.

Mrs. Lillibridge was preceded in death by her parents.

Burial was in Harlington cemetery in Waverly with Rev. Brueseke in charge of the committal services.
