DEATH OF CLINTON EMERSON
Passed Away at Home on Cedar St.
Last Thursday Night-Burial
Sunday AfternoonWallace Clinton Emerson was born at Merrimac, Wis., Jan. 19, 1864, to James and Harriett Astle Emerson, and passed away May 16, 1921 at 11:20 p.m. at his late home in Osage. At an early age he was left an orphan and until he was a young man, lived with an uncle at Praire du Sac., Wis., later spending several years in Nebraska.
In 1902 he came to Floyd county, where he engaged in farming, and Jan. 25 of the following year was married to Miss Cora L. Conner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Conner, now of this city, but who at that time resided on a farm in Floyd county. Jan. 10, 1921, Mr. and Mrs. Emerson moved into the home on Cedar street, where Mr. Emerson passed away last Thursday, after months of patient suffering.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his loving and devoted wife and one sister, Mrs. Mary Rathburn of Haywayd, Calif.
The funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the cemetery chapel by Dr. L. C. Lemon and interment was in our local city of the dead.
