JOHN FREDERICK LANGE
Born November 14, 1826
Died Jan. 29, 1912John Fredreick Lange was born in Flandorf, Germany, Nov. 11th 1926. He came to America in 1858, and settled in Columbus, Wis. May 16, 1858, he was married to Marla Zilk. Six children were born to them, two of whom are deceased. Two sons still survive, namely, William W., and George O., and two daughters, Mrs. Lena Rennebohm and Mrs. Matilda Thieson. His wife survives him.
He moved to Iowa in 1872, and settled on a farm near Carpenter and in 1887 he moved into Carpenter where he spent the rest of this life.
He was failing in health for some months, but was able to be around in the house until a few day before his death.
On January 29, 1912, he passed away, aged 85 years, 2 months and 15 days. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church early in life.
