Opal Dickersbach, 96, Glenwood

Opal Lorraine Dickersbach, 96, died Nov. 29, 2005, at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood. Funeral services were held at the Grace United Methodist Church in Glenwood on Dec. 2, 2005, Rev. Doug Achterhof officiated the service. Burial was at the Malvern Cemetery.

Mrs. Dickersbach was born in Columbus, Neb. to Samuel and Amy (Hurst) Boyer on Nov. 29, 1909. She graduated from Glenwood High School was was employed at the Glenwood Resource Center as a dietician until her retirement.

On Jan. 1, 1951, she was married to Clyde Melvin Dickersbach in Glenwood. She was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church and U.M.W. She was devoted to her church and family and loved her home.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband Clyde in 1989; son Richard Wheeler; and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Karen and husband Lester Reynolds of Omaha; two grandchildren, Michael Kennedy; and Amy and husband Brian Young and daughter Ashley of Omaha; nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Memorials are suggested to Grace United Methodist Church. Peterson Mortuary of Glenwood was in charge of arrangements.
