Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Shoemaker

Funeral services were held in Raynor's chapel Saturday for Mrs. Jesse Shoemaker of near Bartlett, who passed away at her home Oct. 9, at the age of 52 years and 18 days.

Olga Caroline Lundburg was born in Page county, Iowa, Sept. 21, 1888. On July 21, 1904 she was married to Jesse Shoemaker at Clarinda, Ia. She was a member of the Swedish Lutheran church with which she became identified at the age of 13, at which time the family resided at Niamon, Ia.

During the last three years she had been in very poor health, yet her physical suffering was borne with true Christian fortitude.

She is survived by her husband, two children, Mrs. Elmer Rickabaugh and James V. of Lime Springs, Ia., and one granddaughter.

This devoted wife and mother will be greatly missed within this family circle and by neighbors and friends as well.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Chas. Aitken of Bartlett. Music for the service consisted of a vocal solo by Mrs. Guy Johnson of Omaha with Miss Iva Harris at the piano and a duet by the Rosentrators of Tabor.

The flower ladies were Mrs. Fay Buckingham, Mrs. Clyde Haddon and the Misses Gladys Buckingham and Earna Mason. Pallbearers were Ivan Gearhart, David Richardson, Verne Moore, Clyde Haddon, Earl Duffy and Fay Buckingham.

The body was laid to rest in the Glenwood cemetery.
