Funeral Services Held for Albert Plumer

The community was grieved Friday to learn of the death of Albert G. Plumer, which occurred that evening at a Council Bluffs hospital. Mr. Plumer was well known in this vicinity having lived here all of his life. A life sketch follows:

Albert G. Plumer, son of Henry and Ella Plumer, was born in what is known as the Plumer settlement in Pottawattamie county, September 16, 1903 and passed away December 12, 1941, at the age of 38 years, two months and 27 days. He spent his entire life on farms at Dumfries and Mineola.

On August 27, 1930, he was married to Mabel Roenfeldt and to this union two children were born, Donna Rae and Elwood Albert, all of whom survive their husband and father.

Mr. Plumer was a member of the St. John's Lutheran church at Mineola, from which services were held at two o'clock Monday afternoon after short services had been held at the Cutler funeral home in Council Bluffs at one o'clock with pastor, Rev. O.C. Bierman in charge of both services.

Music for the service which consisted of two hymns, "Jesus Lover of My Soul" and "Straight Is the Gate" was furnished by Rudolph Bichel, Frederick Bierman, Mrs. Joe Kahl and Mrs. Kenneth McMahon, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Ezra Speck.

Those in charge of the floral tributes were Mesdames Ray Miller, Henry Heitman, Roy Saar, Wilbert Schoening, Carl Green, and Otto Deitchler.

Those serving as pallbearers were Ray Miller, Henry Heitman, Art Spetman, Wilbert Schoening, Carl Green, and Otto Deitchler.

Burial was made in the family lot in the Mineola cemetery.

Those attending the services from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Armin Plumer of Minden, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wittland of Dunlap, Ferdinand Roenfeld, Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Lehman and Jeneice of Woodward, Mr. and Mrs. K. Plumer of Lawton, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Plumer of Lawton, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hoeck of Carson.
