Burial Service Held Here for Former Resident
Body of Mrs. I.B. Pritchard was brought overland from Wayne, Nebraska for interment in Glenwood cemetery.

Mrs. Emma L. Pritchard died at her farm home two miles southeast of Wayne, Nebraska, Wednesday, May 28, after an illness of ten weeks. She was born near Olena, Henderson county, Illinois on November 8, 1860. At the age of seven years she with her family moved to Kansas, settling near Iola. In the fall of 1874 the family moved to Mills county, Iowa, locating near Hillsdale. On March 21, 1878 she was married to I.B. Pritchard. They established their home on a farm southeast of Hillsdale. Here in this home the three children were born. Later they moved to a farm near Glenwood, Iowa, where the family lived for 21 years. On July 19, 1910 her husband died. In the spring of 1913 she again moved, this time to a farm near Wayne, Nebraska, where she lived for five years. Following her residence in Wayne county she lived at Glenwood, Iowa, Jackson, Nebraska and sixteen years in Sioux City. In March, 1936, she returned to the farm near Wayne where she passed away at the age of 81 years, six months and 19 days. She had been very active up to the time of her last illness. She is the last member of her family of six sisters and one brother. In early life she joined the Methodist church which faith remained her preference throughout the years.

She is survuived by three children, Mrs. Dora A. Williams, Mrs. Lotia B. Evernham and Frank W. Pritchard, also four grandchildren and two great grandchildren of the fourth generation. All were present at the funeral except the grandson Furman H. Evernham of Medford, Oregon. Short services were held at the Beckenhauer Chapel at Wayne after which the body was brought to Glenwood, Iowa, for burial by the side of her husband.

Services at the grave in the Glenwood cemetery were in charge of the Myers-James funeral home.
