Mary Slaughter, Former Glenwood Resident Dies

Mrs. Mary Slaughter, 83, passed away at her home in Fresno, California January 28, following an illness of some duration. Funeral services were held and burial made at Fresno. Mrs. Slaughter, who was the daughter of John Merrill and the widow of Frederick Slaughter, both civil war veterans, was a native of Rockport, Missouri. The family resided for some time in Glenwood, going to Fresno in 1922.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs.Phannie Walker of Malvern, Mrs. Clara B. Riley and Mrs. Etta E. Bomer both of Fresno, two sons Harvey Slaughter of Silver City and Norval Slaughter of Fresno, as well as numerous grandchildren and other more distant relatives.
