Death of Henry Lowne
Henry Lowne, who has been living here the past year with his son, H. H. Lowne on north Second street, passed away early this morning after a long period of illness and poor health. The remains will be taken to Coin, Iowa, Saturday morning and the funeral held at that place Saturday afternoon.
Mr. Lowne was born in Licking county, Ohio, July 15, 1835. He came to Page county, Iowa, in 1867 where he resided until October 1910, when he came to Malvern. He was married in 1865 to Miss Mary Hughes. To them were born H. H. Lowne of this place with whom he has made his home since the death of his wife and A. W. Lowne of Thief River, Minnesota.
Mr. Lowne was a genial, kindly gentleman who made many friends during his brief stay here and who sorrow over his demise.
