Mrs. Elizabeth Starr, who died at Hastings Feb. 21, 1911, was born in 1832 in Lawrence County, Indiana. Her maiden name was Judah. When 10 years old she moved with her parents to Missouri, and in 1852 to Mills County, where she spent the remainder of her years.

She was married March 3, 1854, to Ithamer Starr, and to them were born 15 children, six of whom with the father preceded her in death. The nine remaining children were with her when the end came, and are as follows: Mrs. Sarah Jane Simpkins, Norfolk, Neb., Samuel Starr, Malvern, Emanuel, Albert, Willard, John W., Mrs. N. Hall, Mrs. John Kennedy and Mrs. N. Hodges, of Hastings.

She is also survived by 41 grandchildren and 24 great grand children.
