Andy Leak Dies in California Aug. 3rd

Andrew “Andy” Leak, 83, long-time resident of Lyons township, where he engaged in farming and in the general practice of what was known in the old days as “horse doctor,” not being a graduate veterinarian but a man who had a good general knowledge of livestock, livestock diseases and was quite successful in his practice, died at Montevello, Cal., Aug. 3.

Mr. Leak, who was in very poor health when he left here early in the summer, went to California to be in the home of his step-son, Curt Patterson.

Funeral services and burial were made there, with the Odd Fellows lodge, of which he was a long-time member here, in charge.
