Luella Emelia Wriedt, 99, of Glenwood, died at Glen Haven Rest Home on May 3, 2005. Services were held May 5 at Peterson Mortuary. Burial services followed at the Mineola Cemetery, Reverend Doug Achterhof presided.

Mrs. Wriedt was born Aug. 20, 1905 to Rudolph and Pauline (Jens) Deitchler in rural Glenwood. On Nov. 27, 1924, she was united in marriage to Joe W. Wriedt. They lived on their farm three miles south of Silver City until they moved to Glenwood on Dec. 9, 1950. After moving to Glenwood, they joined the Grace United Methodist Church. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, Glenwood Garden Club and Friendship Club. She loved to crochet and play cards.

Mrs. Wriedt was preceded in death by her husband in 1973; her parents; and one brother. She is survived by her daughter, Eldeane and husband Mike Quintieri of Glenwood; two grand-children; and three great-grandchildren.
