Mrs. Jane Elizabeth Cheeseman, known by many as "Grandma" Cheeseman, passed away after several weeks of sickness at her home in Glenwood June 29, 1916.

Her funeral services were held Saturday, July 1, at 10 A.M. in the Methodist church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Wm. Stevenson.

Jane E. Keelen was born in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, on December 19, 1834, and at her death was 81 years, 6 months and 10 days old.

She was united in marriage at Greenville, Pa., November 21, 1850, to Selinus R. Cheeseman.
To this union nine children were born, five of whom survive her.

The husband passed away February 12, 1881, and since that time she has made her home among her children.

All of her living children were in attendance at her funeral. The children are George Cheeseman of Willow Creek, Mont.; Mrs. Emma Smith, of Maple Hill, Kan.; Mrs. Etta Jacques, Topeka, Kan.; Will Cheeseman, Dellsie, Saskatchewan, Canada; Joel Cheeseman, Barnum, Minn. Margaret Cheeseman, Barnum, Kan.; Miss Ethel Gallup, Portsmouth, Iowa; Mrs. Elizabeth Morehead, Topeka, Kan., and Mrs. Eva Tipton of Glenwood were present at the funeral.
