Pacific City Cemetery: "Questioning has not revealed much information about this cemetery which was unearthed with the consturuction for the relocation of Highway 34. It had been located in Section 9, Plattville Township. On 25 June 1971 the remaines of 25 burials were placed in boxes and reburied in the northeast corner of Glenwood Cemetery, Lot 1086 in Section 5. There is no stone at this time to mark these reburials. The marker if placed will be inscribed. "This area containes the 25 removals from Pacific City Cemetery buried here due to highway construction."
It is assumed that these were settlers as there were broken tombstones at one time. With these reburials is believed to be a young Indian maid who had beads and wore rings on her fingers. There is one name to record. Mrs. Alex Christensen's mother had told her that Great Granpa APT JONES was buried under an apple tree at Pacific City Cemetery."
