Betty Margaret Bledsoe, 82 of Huxley, Iowa, formerly of Council Bluffs, died April 17, 2005 in Ames, Iowa. Services were held April 19 at Glenwood Cemetery. Pastor Darrell Hopp presided.

Mrs. Bledsoe was born Nov. 13, 1922 in Arcadia, Neb., to Carl and Margaret Stephanie (Jepson) Christensen. She was united in marriage on Oct. 13, 1949 in Council Bluffs to Leonard Laverne Bledsoe. To this union four daughters were born: Rebecca, Jennifer, Tamara and Laurie. Mrs. Bledsoe was of the Christian faith and was homemaker who loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Bledsoe was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Gerald Christensen and one sister, Joanne Christensen. She is survived by her children, Rebecca and husband George Lysenko of Elk Run Heights, Iowa. Jennifer and husband Leonard Sellers of Fremont, Neb., Tamara Bledsoe of Huxley and Laurie and husband Robert Jackson of Omaha; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Peterson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
