March 22, 1945William Glenn was born September 14, 1871 in Mills County, near Glenwood, Iowa. He passed away at him home in Glenwood after a protracted illness on Friday morning, March 16, 1945, at the age of 73 years, 5 months, and 2 days.
On November 18, 1894 he was united in marriage to Miss Allie Haymie at the bride’s home also in Mills County, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn made their home on a farm in the proximity of Glenwood. To them four children were born all of whom are now living.
He is survived by his widow Allie, one son Walter of Omaha, three daughters: Mrs. Leatha Hunter, Bell Gardens, California, Mrs. Cecile Robbins, Malvern, and Mrs. Mildred Davis, Glenwood. Also, two sisters Mrs. Lou Owens, Council Bluffs, Mrs. George Taylor, Plattsmouth, Nebr., and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 18, at James’ Chapel by Rev. David M. Young of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in the Glenwood cemetery.
