Rev. John F. Ness, pastor of the Methodist church at Modale, died at his former home in Imogene, May 31.

He was born in Merlin, Mo., December 23, 1876, came to Iowa with his parents when 14 years of age and resided at Mineola and at Imogene.
He married Mabel Sparks of Imogene, June 1906. His wife and little babe, his bother, two brothers and two sisters mourn his early death.

The funeral services were held Tuesday in the church at Imogene, conducted by Rev. A.E. Griffith, assisted by the pastor and Father J.G. Nixon, W.W. Bollinger of Malvern, M.R. Talley of Hastings and C.F. Smith of Tabor, preachers of the district.
