May 30, 1905The remains of Peter Caress arrived in Glenwood last night for burial. The funeral was held this Tuesday afternoon at the Waubonsie church, conducted by Rev. Lafe Wolfe.
He died Saturday at York, Nebr., at the home of his step-daughter Mrs. Wm. Boore. He was born in Pike county, Indiana, Dec. 1, 1819, and came to Mills county in 1874, residing near Glenwood till 1901. Three nieces, Mrs. Wm Hunt, Mrs. George LaFrance and Miss Addie Caress, live at Silver City.
