J.K. Hinkle

A pall was cast over the holiday festivities at the Glenwood Institution by the death of J.K. Hinkle, an attendant there. He died at 5 o’clock Saturday morning after an illness of 12 days from pneumonia, and on account of his death the annual masquerade ball for employees to have been held that night was postponed.

The deceased was 28 years old, and had been employed a little over two weeks when he was taken sick. He was recently married, and the wife is also employed at the Institution. The couple came from Kingsley, Kan., where his father resided.

The funeral will be held this Tuesday afternoon, and burial will take place in the Glenwood cemetery.
