Thelia Belle Douglass, age 84 of Malvern, IA died Friday, October 22, 2004 at Manor of Malvern following an extended illness. Thelia was born July 16, 1920 near Tabor, IA to Charles A. Douglass and Clara Ann (O'Bladen) Douglass. Julia attended Tabor High School and resided in several different communities including Clarinda and Sidney, IA. She always had a happy nature, loved music all her life and truly appreciated everything that was done for her.

Thelia was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and Charles (Jack) Douglass. She is survived by a sister, Rosalene Clapper of San Leandro, CA; sister-in-law, Claire Douglass of Tabor, IA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for interment of ashes were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at the Tabor Iowa Cemetery with Rev. Dean Surface officiating. There were no viewing or visitation and memorials go to a fund established in Thelia's name. The Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel in Tabor, IA was in charge of arrangements.
