Leona Anna Woksa, 85, of rural Council Bluffs, Mills County, died Sept. 7, 2004, at her home.
Funeral services were held Sept.10 at the Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Chapel in Council
Bluffs. Rev. Joe Harter officiated the ceremony. Burial was at the Plumer Settlement Cemetery.

Mrs. Woksa was the daughter of Henry and Amelia (Enselman) Thieschafer, born Nov. 26, 1918, in rural Council Bluffs. She attended Abraham Lincoln High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Country Church.

Mrs. Woksa was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughters Linda Kay and Janice Kay, brothers Henry and Walter Thieschafer and son-in-law Kenneth Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Frank J. Woksa Jr. of Council Bluffs; daughter Lona Johnson of Council Bluffs; grandson Roger Johnson and wife Mary of Council Bluffs; granddaughter Rhonda Gunther and husband John 11 of Lees Summit, Mo.; great-grandchildren Kendra and John Gunther 111 of Lees Summit and Allison and Melinda Johnson of Council Bluffs; and nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Evangelical Country Church. Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
