Gary L. Lemonds 61, of Omaha, Neb., died Sept. 23, 2004, at his home. Funeral services were held Sept. 27 at Christ Community Church in Omaha. Pastor Wendell Nelson officiated the services Burial was at the Malvern Cemetery.

Mr. Lemonds was the son of Leon and Geraldine (Bell) Lemonds, born Dec. 14, 1942, in Shenandoah. He was a machinist at AT&T and a member of Christ Community Church.

Mr. Lemonds was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Marilyn Lemonds and Connie Schoening. He is survived by his wife, Janet J. Lemonds of Omaha; daughter Michelle Sperling and husband Jeff of Olathe, Kan.; son Derek Lemonds and wife Mary Lou of Omaha; grandchildren Piper and Spencer Sperling; sister Vicki Harden and husband Dave of Mount Vernon, Ohio; and other relatives and many friends.
