Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sperryman Funeral Home in Red Oak for William Viner. Mr. Viner was born April 12, 1877 in Burlington and passed away July 3 in the hospital in Red Oak.
He was married in 1900 to Miss Kate Steiner. To this union were born seven sons. The Viners lived for many years in the Wales vicinity where Mr. Viner farmed and also operated a threshing machine.
They moved to Red Oak when they retired from farming. Surviving are his wife and six sons, Joe of Omaha, Vernon, Ralph, and Byron of Emerson, Gerald of Henderson, and Merwin of Red Oak; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph of Elliott and one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Kirpatrick of California; also other relatives and a host of friends.
Interment was in the Emerson Cemetery.
