Verda R. Smith, 90, Cheyenne, Wyo.

Verda R. Smith, 90, of Cheyenne, Wyo., died May 19, 2004, at the Cheyenne Healthcare Center. A memorial service was held May 21, 2004, at the Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes. Rev. Bill Jividen officiated the service. Cremation has taken place, and burial will be on July 9, 2004, at the Glenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Andrew and Cora Mae Dunn, born Feb. 14, 1914, in Glenwood. She was a cook for the Union Pacific Railroad crews and an accountant for Sam’s Plumbing. She was a member of Foster Grandparents and VFW No. 4343.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; sons Robert Lynn Smith and Kenneth Adam Smith Jr.; daughter Patricia “Pat” Flanary; nine brothers and sisters; and a grandson. She is survived by sons Eward Paul Smith of Jacksonville, N.C., and James R. Smith of Cheyenne; daughter Nancy L. Kinch of Cheyenne; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
