Ernest Churchman, 91, of Grand Junction, Colo., formerly of Council Bluffs and Wesleco, died July 29, 2001 in Grand Juntion. Graveside services in the Tabor Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Mr. Churchman was the son of Joseph and Sara (Foxworthy) Churchman, born March 22, 1910 in Blanchard. He was married to Dorothy Asman for 63 years before her death in 1996.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife.

Survivors include his son, Jerry Dean Churchman and wife Judith of Grand Junction, Colo.; sister, Mary Elaine Curtis of Hastings; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Peterson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
