Lorraine Strand

Lorraine Strand, 84, of Glenwood, died April 25, 2003, at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs. Graveside services were held April 29, 2003, at the Glenwood Cemetery. Pastor Darrell Hopp officiated at the service.

Mrs. Strand was the daughter of Fred and Hazel (Byers) Johnson, born Jan. 6, 1919, in Glenwood. She lived in Glenwood all of her life. She married Harold Strand on July 7, 1940, in Rockport, Mo. She was employed as clerk of the district court for Mills County for several years. She was also in the 96th Infantry Division.

Mrs. Strand was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother. She is survived by her brother, Edwin Johnson and wife Rogene of Glenwood; sister DeLores Satterlee of Glenwood; sister-in-law Helen Johnson of Glenwood; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Glenwood American Legion. Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood was in charge of arrangements.
