Frank Stolarz, 82, Omaha, Nebraska

Frank Stolarz, 82, of Omaha, Nebraska, died September 12, 2002, at his residence. Funeral services were held September 16, 2002, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Glenwood. Rev. Dennis Hanneman officiated at the service. Burial was at the Malvern Cemetery.

Mr. Stolarz was the son of Adam and Sophia Magdalene (Steck) Stolarz, born April 1, 1920, in Wallington, New Jersey. He graduated from Lodi, New Jersey, High School, attended Franklin Marshall Academy and was recruited for a football scholarship at St. Mary's University in California. He received his business/marketing degree from the University of California. He married Elizabeth (Bette) Jean Smith on January 12, 1975, in Beverly Hills, California. He was the owner of the Chevron Dealership in Beverly Hills, California, retiring in 1977. He was a Scoutmaster for 17 years in Los Angeles, California, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Burbank, California. He moved to Glenwood in 1990. He then moved to Omaha in 1994. He was 1st Lt. and a pilot in the 8th Air Force during WWII. He received the Croix de Guere decoration.

Mr. Stolarz was preceded in death by his parents; son Joseph Stolarz; brothers, Joseph, Stolarz, Andrew Stolarz, Walter Stolarz and Edward Stolarz; and two grandsons. He is survived by his wife, Bette Jean Stolarz of Omaha; daughters Frances Ann McNamee of Walnut Creek, California; Barbara Morales of Santa Cruz, California, Christine Justine of Redondo Beach, California, and Dorothy Edelman of Woodland Hills, California; sons Andrew Stolarz of Granada Hills, California and Richard Stolarz of West Hills, California; stepdaughters Carolyn Montoya of Longmont, Colorado and Donetta Konfirst of Glenwood; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister Mildred Sanzane of Rutherford, New Jersey; and brothers John Stolarz of Batavia, Illinois and Matthew Stolarz of Emerson, New Jersey.

Memorials are suggested to St. Vincent de Paul in Omaha, Nebraska or Alegent Hospice. Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood was in charge of arrangements.
