Madelyn K. Parker died Saturday evening, August 18, at Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was born in Treynor, Iowa to Benhardt C. and Edna L. (Miller) Freese. She taught Sunday School and was the former church secretary at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Treynor, where she was a life-long member. For 20 years she was the Assistant Director of Volunteers at Jennie Edmunson Memorial Hospital, and later worked at Treynor State Bank for 10 years. An avid reader, she was also a charter member of the Wedded Band, and enjoyed singing in the church choir and in The Top 20. She married Wayne H. "Babe" Parker on April 28, 1946.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Carroll Freese. She is survived by her husband, Wayne H. "Babe" Parker; children and spouses: Marsha Andersen (Roger), Robert Parker (Kris), and Diane Godfrey (Gary); grandchildren and spouses: Jay Parker (Annika), Joel Parker, Kyle Godfrey, Eric Godfrey (Rachel); great-grandson, Jaren Parker.
