Anthony E. "Tony" McCunn, age 52, of Red Oak, Iowa passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at his residence in Red Oak. Anthony "Tony" McCunn was born September 3, 1957 in Lincoln, Nebraska the son of Merle and Phyllis (Wilhelm) McCunn. He graduated from the Red Oak High School in 1975. Tony was well known for his skills as a dry waller in the construction business. He worked for Ellis McCunn Construction before operating his own business. He lived most of his life in the Red Oak and Elliott, Iowa area.

He was preceded in death by his father, Merle McCunn on September 28, 1995. Survivors include his mother, Phyllis McCunn of Red Oak, Iowa; children: Cody McCunn of Elliott, Iowa, Toby McCunn and Jennie Doty of Red Oak, Iowa; and Mindy McCunn and Ryan Lichty of Shenandoah, Iowa; grandchildren: Madexx and Myhlie McCunn and Kayleb Lichty; brother, Steve McCunn and wife Marilyn of Lake Dallas, Texas; sisters: Debi Slaughter and husband Dan of Red Oak, Iowa; Joni Rolofson and husband Dan of Red Oak, Iowa; Aimee Allen and husband Roxie of Red Oak, Iowa; and Tracy Taylor and husband Dan of Emerson, Iowa; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held from 4-6 PM Saturday, July 17, 2010 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. In leu of flowers memorials are suggested to the family of Tony McCunn.
