Rogers, Arkansas - February 1976

Mrs. Mary Velma Tryon, 84, 613 South A St., Rogers, died Feb. 4 in Rogers Memorial Hospital. Born March 8, 1891 (Velma Mary Emerick) at Pender, Nebr, she was the daughter of Frank and Grace (Parker) Emerick, the widow of John Henry Tryon, Jr. and a member of Southside Church of Christ in Rogers.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Frances Rose Krumwiede, Walthill, Nebr., Mrs. Grace Eva McCord, Rogers, Mrs. Mary Minerva Kirschbaum, Dodgeville, Wisc. and Mrs. Edna Bernice Booth, Bell, Calif; three brothers, Everett Emerick, Pender, Nebr., Paul Emerick, Hermiston, Ore., and Leonard Emerick, Carver, Ore.; three sisters, Mrs. Blanche Laird, Mrs. Opal Baumann, White River, S.D., and Mrs. Frances Brown, Valentine, Nebr.; one half-brother, J.D. Emerick, Alliance, Nebr; 26 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Callison Funeral Home, Rogers, with Jim Caldwell and Jack Garner officiating. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery under the direction of Callison.
