Shirley Marie Parker, age 80, of Brady, Nebraska passed away June 21, 2011 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center. She was born August 6, 1930 in Maxwell, Nebraska to Russell and Marie Larsen Gutherless. On December 29, 1948 she married Orville D. Parker. After Orville left for the service, the couple moved to Potter, Nebraska and then to Sidney, Nebraska in 1966. In 2005 Shirley moved to Brady, Nebraska to be closer to her family. Shirley enjoyed playing pitch with family and friends. She loved her nieces and nephews very much. Survivors include a brother, Ivan (Mary) Gutherless of Maxwell; nieces and nephews Michael (Kelly) Gutherless of Maxwell, Doug (Sharon) Gutherless of Maxwell, Bilva (Gary) Gier of Sutherland, Kent (Karen) Gutherless of North Platte, Jim Gutherless of Maxwell and Joleen (Royce) Schauer of Maxwell; and numberous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville; and a brother, John (Margy) Gutherless. Memorials may be made in her name. Services will be 10:30 a.m. June 24, 2011 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with Chaplain Terry Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. today at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
