John Markey died last Tuesday at the County Farm east of Glenwood where he has made his home some twenty years. The body was taken to Emerson, his former home, for burial, the funeral was held there Wednesday in the Presbyterian Church of which he had been a member.

Uncle John was an Irishman by birth, one of the old kind and was somewhat around ninety years old.
