Willis L. Kauffman, 83, of The Villages, Fla., died Feb. 6, 2003. Inturnment will be at the Glenwood Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Kauffman was born in Garden City, Mo. In 1957, he married Ruth Michaelson York. He retired as general manager of the General Electric Coil Division and moved to Sun City West, Ariz., in 1981, where he was an active member of the SCW Rotary Club and served on the Building and Grounds Committee of the Sun Health Corp. in the Sun Cities. He enjoyed his home, yard, aerospace. reading and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Kauffman moved to The Villages in 2002.

Mr. Kauffman is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter Jacquelyn Schmidt and husband William of Onsted, Mich.; grandchildren Scott and David Schmidt; three great-grandchildren; brothers Kenneth and wife Beverly of Lakewood, Calif., and Richard and wife Lois of Draper, Utah; and sisters Shirley Fraser and husband Mac of Sun City West, Ariz., and Lucille Miller and husband Charles of La Mirada, Calif.

Beyers Funeral Home of Lady Lake, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.
