Linda Swisher, 43, of Glenwood, died May 11, 2003, at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs following a brief ilness. Funeral services will be held May 14, 2003, 2 p.m., at the Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel in Tabor. Rev. Rod VanWey will officiate the service. Interment will be at the Tabor Cemetery.

Ms. Swisher was the daughter of Raymond 0. and Esther (Scott) Hirst, born Dec. 12, 1958, in Hamburg. She lived most of her life in Tabor and Glenwood.

Ms. Swisher was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother, Esther Hirst of Tabor; sons Lee Alfred Miles, Howard Miles and Francis Miles, all of Glenwood; grandchildren Austin and Dominique; nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

A memorial fund has been established. The Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
