DEATH OF THOS. BRITT. FORMER MILLS COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE DIES AT SIOUX FALLS. Thomas Britt, an old pioneer in these parts and for four years a representative in the Iowa legislature from Mills county, died Saturday morning at 7:30 at his home in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he had lived for the past six years. He had been paralyzed for six months past.

The remains were brought to Malvern for burial. A short funeral service was held at the Methodist church there at one o'clock on Monday, conducted by Rev. Bollinger, assisted by Rev. Waldo of the Baptist church.

Mr. Britt was a native of Tennessee and was 70 years old in December. He served during the war as a member of the 29th Iowa regiment which was made up largely of Mills county men.

He was in the legislature from 1892-1896.

He was twice married, his second wife being Mrs. Dunlap of Malvern, who survives him. He leaves a daughter Mrs. Lee Donner of Balfour and a son, Dr. W.H. Britt of Creighton, Nebraska; also a sister, Mrs. Henry Ranne of Glenwood.

Three stepsons reside at Malvern; William, Ray and Harry Donlay.
