Funeral Services Held For Alonzo Johnson
Funeral services were held on last Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in Logan for Alonzo Johnson, 23, who passed away in an Omaha hospital on Monday of last week following an illness of some duration.
Alonzo, who was the son Of G. K Johnson, former Mills county recorder, was born in Glenwood and spent the early years of his life here, where he attended school, removing with the family from here about 10 years ago.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Graves, a former pastor of the Glenwood Methodist church during the time the Johnson family resided here, and who now is retired from active ministry and is residing in Logan, where Mr. Johnson is engaged in the insurance business. Alonzo is survived by his father; one sister, Adrienne, and brother, Corwin.
(Relatives from here who attended the funeral services in Logan were Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Johnson and daughter Winifred, Mr. and Mrs. Darl Ashbaugh, Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Geohr ing, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Goehring, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Goehring.
The body was taken to Emerson, the old family home of the Johnson family, where services were held at the grave and the body laid to rest in the family lot in the cemetery.
