FUNERAL SERVICES FOR
MRS. LULA JOHNSON
Short funeral services were held Friday at the cemetery for Mrs. Lulu A. Adams Johnson, a former resident here. Rev. L. M. Grigsby was in charge.
The following obituary was read:
Lula A. Adams was born June 15, I882 near Emerson, la., and passed away June 3, 1942 at the age of 59 years, 11 months and I8 days.
When only a few weeks old she went with her parents to Wayne, Nebraska, where she pent the first 11 years of her life. In December, 1893, the family returned to Emerson where she resided until the time of her marriage, December 21, 1904 to George K. Johnson of that place. To this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters. Maxine and Alonzo preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband and one son, K. C. Johnson, one daughter Adrienne and one granddaughter Betty Jane, all of Logan; also she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Mathers of Cromwell and Miss Lenore Adams of Corning and two brothers, W. D. Adams of Beatrice, Neb., and Russell C. Adams of Selfrldge Field, Mich.
Mrs. Johnson united with the Methodist church at Emerson at an early age and was an active member of the same, as long as her health permitted. Her faith and Christian Ideals were always strong and her death is only a blossoming into a richer fulfillment of all she held dear.
