The sorrowing news comes this (Monday) morning that death called this morning and took away the spirit of Maxine Johnson, the eight-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. K. Johnson. The child went to Emerson last Wednesday to visit with an aunt, and took sick immediately. The funeral will be held at Emerson Tuesday afternoon at 2 p. m. in the M. E. church and will be conducted by Rev. Stevenson of Glenwood, Iowa.
