April 11, 1905Alexander Wright, aged 73 years, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 9, 1905, at his home south of Glenwood, of bronchial pneumonia. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the home, conducted by Rev. J. H. Stark, pastor of the Christian church, of which deceased was a member.
Mr. Wright was an old settler in these parts, having lived here for 48 years. For 44 years he has lived on the same place. He was born Jan. 13, 1832, in Coshocton county, Ohio, and was married in 1854 to Julia Ann Painter, who survives him, together with five children, namely, S. M. and Ed Wright, Mrs. Wm. Long, and Mrs. I. O. Linville, Glenwood, and Mrs. D. C. Muffly, Watson, Missouri.”
