FINAL RITES FOR MRS. F.E.DASHNER
Mabel Carter, daughter of Thomas and Amanda Carter was born October 15, 1875, near Blair, Ne. and passed away April 22, 1949 in the Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs at the age of 73 years,6 months and 7 days.
She was married to Frank Eugene Dashner on April 15, 1895.To this union were born six children; Byron of Randolph, Clair of Pacific Junction, Louise Jackson of Glenwood, Agnes Jean at home. Two sons, Roland and Montie died in childhood.
Mrs. Dashner in early womanhood was converted and joined the Friends church at Burr Oak, where she was a loyal and faithful worker, giving a helping hand to those in need. She was possessed of all those Christian graces that go to make up true womanhood and her highest aim was to follow in the footstep of her Savior. We can truly say "to know her was to love her".
Mr. and Mrs. Dashner lived their married life on the farm south of Glenwood.
Beside their children, she is survived by her husband, four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Marion Sutherland of Ojai, Cal. and other relatives and a host of friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services were held April 25, from the Raynor chapel with the Rev. H.G. Parker officiating.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Frank Boyle and Mrs. Shirley Lincoln Jr.
Casket bearers were Willard Wright, Jay Warren, Charlie Haynie, Fay Buckingham, Leighton McCrary, Lloyd Haynie.
Flower bearers were Mrs. Harold Reasoner, Mrs. Mary Sawyer, Mrs. Fay Buckingham, Gladys Buckingham, Mrs. E.H. Hatchinson, Mrs. Mary Gilmore.
Last resting place was in the Glenwood cemetery.
